My First Official Post

I am so excited. I am now a blogger. I've been wanting to do something like this for years and today I bit the bullet. As many things in my life it came upon itself today through twists and turns. While doing some homeschool research I stumbled upon a blog on blogger made a few clicks here and there and in doing so figured "what the hell". Next thing I knew I was making up a name for myself, a title for my blog and a profile. Bickety Bam here I am.

I have a few ideas for this blog and the direction I want it to take. Mostly it will be exactly what a blog is, a web log. My thoughts, plans, ideas. Our family activities. How we do things day to day. I love my life and I love the adventure we are on.

I hope this will inspire me to get out and do as much as possible to make the most of our time together as a family. Can't write about interesting stuff if we aren't doing anything interesting right?? I also hope that this can be a great way for my far off family and friends to keep up with what we are doing. See pictures of the kids growing up. Be a part of our lives through cyberspace.

Enough of that babble. I am a busy Mamma and have lots on my proverbial plate. Losing weight, taking care of my children, educating my children, running a family business, running a household, studying, working on our first album. I don't think I can wear many more hats but I am positive there are a few more I'm wearing that I don't even realize.

Before I conclude my inaugural post I would like to briefly explain the name of my blog. I am a generally happy person. I believe that happiness is something you can consciously choose to be in almost any circumstance. There is always a silver lining and a purpose. I hope my children learn this frame of mind. When we get busy and bogged down with life we lose focus on attaining our happiness. I never want to lose that focus. I also think that life is kind of like one great big project. There is drafting, budgeting, constructing. You plan your life, you fund your life and you make your life. I plan on getting an A+ when I'm done with mine. Put those two main ideas together and there you have it, "The Happy Family Project". It's corny but hey, thats me.
